| Panama offers an attractive tax incentive program for foreign retirees compared with many European and USA choices of retirement destinations.
Some tax benefits on retiree incentives include:
- Household goods can be brought into Panama free of taxes.
- New cars can be brought in duty free every two years.
- Discounts range between 10% and 50% is allowed on hotels, restaurants, movies, hospital, medical and dental services and many professional services.
- No taxes apply on the retiree pension or incapacity funds.
- No taxes apply on retiree income generated outside of the territory of Panama.
